“I hope to promote a better understanding of teeth in the general population and so strengthen the dialogue between patients and dentists.
Why is this understanding important?
“Understanding what’s going on is an important step in being able to care for your own dental health. At the same time, you can challenge your dentist by asking him/her relevant questions about the proposed treatments or prices of said treatments.”
How does Toothportal.co.uk do this?
“Toothportal.co.uk is primarily an online encyclopaedia where you can look up common symptoms, diagnoses and treatments. This gives you a strong foundation from which to base decisions about your dental care. I also answer questions in the Letters to the Editor.”
