What is it?
An examination is the regular control of the teeth, oral mucosa, chewing muscles and jaw joints by a dentist/dental hygienist.
For many people, examinations are scheduled every six months, but ideally your recall time should be set according to your individual requirements.
Why is it used?
The diseases that develop in our teeth are often painless until their final stages. This makes examinations at regular intervals a vital part of good dental health.
What is the risk?
- Overtreatment
What are the alternatives?
