Incorrect brushing technique

Using an incorrect brushing technique is a common mistake, but it’s never too late to correct it.
What is it?
An incorrect brushing technique leaves bacteria in places which should be clean or causes unnecessary wear.
Two common mistakes are:
- Using a back-and-forth motion which scratches the teeth
- Forgetting to brush the front teeth when switching brushing sides.
Why is it used?
A lot of people use incorrect brushing techniques without realising it. Ask your dentist at your next examination whether he sees any signs of you having this problem.
