What is it?
A removable hybrid denture are either removable full denture or removable partial denture which have been fitted to neighbouring teeth or implants.
A frequently used type of removable hybrid denture is a removable full denture for the lower jaw kept in place by two implants fitted into the same area that the canines used to occupy.
Why is it used?
A removable hybrid denture are a compromise between traditional removable partial denture, removable full denture and fixed replacements such as crowns, bridges and implants.
What is the risk?
Removable hybrid prosthetics are more technically complicated than a removable partial denture or removable full denture – increasing their risk of suffering technical faults and damage.
